Title

More Wood Needed at West Point

Description

The wood on hand will last the officers and men through the end of the month. If the troops currently at West Point stay longer they will need 44 cords of wood per month. Price asks if Knox thinks it proper to purchase more wood; it can be purchased if money is advanced to Price. Garrison cannot bring wood because the sleighing is too poor, so the work will have to be hired out. Anyone Garrison hires will have to be paid immediately as they are all quite poor and need the money. Price expects the wood will cost about 15 pounds.
