Description

Knox is directed to forward to New York, under the charge of Lt. John Heth, arms and accoutrements complete, and knapsacks for seventy men with a proportion of tents, musketballs, and cartridge paper. The powder will be furnished in New York. The one hundred stand of arms ordered to be put on board the "Juno" are not to be shipped but Knox must make arrangements to exchange cannon powder with some powder-makers in the city so it can be forwarded to Charleston.
