Description
Major General Anthony Wayne writes British Major William Campbell, commander of the post along the banks of the Miami. States that the post is far within the well known and acknowledged boundaries of the United States, and is therefore an "act of the highest aggression, and destructive to the peace." The same fortification also happens to be at the heart of the settlements of the Indian tribes now at war with the United States. Tells Campbell to immediately withdraw troops and end fortification.
